Etching and watercolor on handstitched, handmade paper. Part of a series of twelve paper quilt squares exploring the discrepancy between the facade and what lies behind it, using the domestic as a psychological portrait. Once a hole is punched into paper or a mark is stitched, it is impossible to remove the memory of it. The final pieces act as remnants of action, as palimpsests, where the act of repair becomes more important than the repairs themselves. Comes attached to 12"x16" archival foamcore!
