Sellers are responsible for packaging artwork securely prior to shipping. To ensure your work reaches your buyers safely, we recommend the following practices:

Shipping Basics

  • Ship within the timeframe you specify.
  • Provide tracking information (if available) via a message to your buyer.
  • Be sure to mark your piece as shipped by navigating to your inbox, selecting the "Seller" tab, and selecting the "Mark as Shipped" button in your transaction feed.

Packaging

  • Enclose works on paper in a waterproof plastic sleeve, and use rigid cardboard backing before placing in an envelope or box.
  • For canvas, framed artwork, or 3D pieces, use padding such as bubble wrap to avoid damage. Nest items in additional padding to minimize jostling and protect from impact.
  • Be sure packages are fully sealed and label with handling instructions (ie, “Fragile” or “Do Not Bend”).

Pricing

  • Set accurate shipping prices in your listing. We recommend the USPS postage calculator as a handy tool for estimating shipping costs.
  • Shipping costs to buyer can reflect materials used as well as carrier costs.
  • You can also offer free shipping or local pickup options.

Other Helpful Tips

  • Please note that CfM Art Marketplace only operates within the United States, so buyers must provide a domestic shipping address.

  • If shipping work frequently, consider using a third party platform to streamline your process and save on fees.
