Hello, I'm Liz.
My roots have always been in the arts. My grandfather was a Polish classical music composer. My grandmother was a sculptor and painter. My father was a well-known jingle-writer, and my mother was a professional ballet dancer.
In high school, I won awards for my poetry & paintings and dreamt of going to art school. I got accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology as a Fashion Illustration major, but, for practical purposes, switched majors and graduated instead with an AAS in Advertising Design, to begin a career in commercial art.
After a 30-year hiatus from fine art to support and raise my family as a solo parent, I still longed to follow my dream as an artist, so I began painting again and now have a growing collection of works I am proud of.
My art is mainly mixed-media abstract expressionism. My work comes from the heart, not at all from the thinking mind. I gravitate intuitively to colors and textures that speak to me at the moment I am in. My intention with each work is for the viewer to feel and experience the energy from which it was created.
Thanks for viewing!
